Axle

At just about 1 year old, Axle is a fabulous blend of young-dog energy with a gentle, old-soul spirit. He is a tuxedo wearing Pointer/Hound mix working hard every day to build his confidence. He is surely one of the most polite & handsomest guys in town.

Perfect Manners: Axle is a star pupil. He knows a handful of commands and is a master at giving paw. The best thing? He takes treats ever so gently. He's a polite gentleman through and through.

Friend to All: Axle absolutely loves other dogs and is perfectly fine with cats. He'd be a seamless addition to a house full of furry friends. Axle loves to romp and wrestle but respectful of boundaries.

The Great Outdoors: A fenced-in yard is Axle's happy place. It gives him the security he needs to relax, play, and explore at his own pace.

Social Adventures: Axle rides well in the car and also walks well on leash! He enjoys seeing new things and pushes his way past his hesitancy with the right human leader.

Axle is shy when meeting new people, but his progress is inspiring. Axle is looking for a family that will celebrate his wins big and small and provide a nurturing environment where he can truly blossom. He would also love a dog mate to help guide him through this journey with his trusted humans.

Axle is housebroken, crate-trained and completely respectful of home things! Older and more predictable kids would be best. If you have a fenced yard, a pocket full of treats (which he will take from you with the utmost care!) and patience to watch an extremely appreciative and loving dog bloom, please contact us!
