About Us
Ziva Dog Rescue was founded in 2017. At that time, Ziva Dog Rescue was “A Second Chance for Ziva, Inc.” In 2025, we officially registered the name “Ziva Dog Rescue” to help us stand out! We are a 501c(3), non-profit, volunteer-based dog rescue. We rescue dogs regardless of their breed, age or size.
Our approach is practical. We understand finding and committing to a new dog is a big step in any person’s life. We want it to be right.
Since its inception, Ziva Dog Rescue has rescued over 2600 dogs. We do this with the help of our dedicated southern team that are continuously overwhelmed with the homeless animal population. We also help locally as resources will allow as the north continues to also be inundated with dogs in need. Dog rescue is necessary everywhere and if we can be a part of their story, we will.
Ziva Dog Rescue is licensed as a charitable organization in the following states: New Jersey, Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
