Chewy

My name is Chewy. I am a dog that has shown his potential to grow leaps and bounds in just a few weeks. I am about 15 months old and around 50 lbs. We aren't really sure what I am but here are some ideas - Ridgeback, Chow, Lab. Those are probably pretty close! When I went to my foster home a couple of months ago, I was a very timid boy. I was likely never shown anything consistent in my young life. I have put in the effort to enjoy my surroundings and try new things! I love other dogs and enjoy my two foster siblings. I am gentle and unassuming. I have really learned how to "dog" now! I am "easy" in many ways, out of the puppy phase, I want to please, watch and learn. I am also a quiet dog. I am looking for a patient, consistent and secure home that consists of kind souls. I will come out of my shell but my humans need to let me make that transition at my comfort level. My next move to my forever home will be easier than my transition from the shelter to foster home. I have the tools to take with me and if you see me in my videos and pictures, I am there! I enjoy being close to my humans and dogs and I have every interest to explore what life has to offer. I go on walks and I even ride in the car! A fenced in yard is a must for me - just because it gives me the freedom to go at my own pace. Oh and I love the flirt pole!! It's so much fun to chase!
