Merida

My name is Merida! I am a stunning 11 month old German Shepherd Mix. I weigh in at just over 60 lbs. I am close to being full grown but might put on another 5ish lbs. I came from a pretty hard situation. I lived with some other dogs but I wasn't taken care of. Sometimes I wasn't sure if I would get food or water. I didn't really have the comforts of an indoor home either. However, I consider myself lucky. I am so young, I didn't have to endure this type of life for too long. Some amazing people came to my rescue and showed me what a good life I could have. I have settled in so nicely. I am great with all other dogs. I live with children 6+ and have also resided nicely along side of them. I have been introduced to cats and have quickly become respectful of their space. I can be crated but still working a little bit on my house manners. I need a little wiggle room here - I am brand new to this! I am an active girl but not overactive. I am a classic shepherd that needs an owner to work my mind and body. However, I also love to chill and will take all the affection I can get. I need to catch up! I have frequented doggie daycare and after watching the crowd, I got comfortable and had a blast. I really like to go on walks and will be a dog that can explore with you! A fenced in yard would be fantastic for me in my new home but more importantly an owner that can take me out and show me the world and the good things in it!
