Mitch
My name is Mitch. I have a story. I have a story of hope and luck and chance. Here is my abbreviated version: I was saved by a wonderful family from the streets of Texas - I was starved, hot and thirsty. This family ended up welcoming me into their home in the Northeast. They wanted to see my care through in the hopes they would be my forever people. I love them so much, I could not have asked for better care. But, I am not thriving in my urban environment. It's not their fault - it's where they live and that can't be changed right now. I deserve to be relaxed and at ease and as much as we all wish it was different, it just isn't. So my fabulous humans reached out to Ziva Dog Rescue to help me find the perfect home that I deserve so much.
Facts: I am 7 years old. I am a Great Pyrenees Mix. I am about 70 lbs but when I fill out should probably be closer to 80. I am tall, lean and graceful. I am housebroken and I am a mature adult so no crate needed nor am I into those either. I am friendly with everyone - kids, cats and dogs. I am a southern gentleman and when I greet you, I will literally shake your hand. I have that amazing "Pyr paw" going. I need a fenced in yard and it should be 5+ feet. I have not jumped over anything but we think I could. I need a family that can also take me on walks because I seem to like those when I am not in the midst of many moving cars, loud trains and many people like I am on the city streets. I enjoy coffee shops, bookstores and social settings. I love the woods and going on short hikes. I am very attached to my people and want them around more often than not. Who can blame me... who knows what my life has been until now. I don't want to let this chance go. I will melt your heart when you meet me. Truly. All of these steps and the effort of so many people are going to lead me to exactly where I am supposed to be. I am located in the NJ area.
